woah this makes me think of wanting to color the walls as a child. So uninhibited. Apparently I still have the urge to do so!!

Oh this was a delightful read. Thank you so much for having the courage to share your mind with us, it's truly moving something in me. Do those things float to you in some kind of way or is this extensive research? Would love to know!

Sometimes I'll read, see, or think something that will trigger what has been stewing in my head for a while that just needed certain connections made for a chance to come out. And there are times when things feel totally random. I recommend the book "the courage to create" by rollo may. I feel he answers best how ideas can pop up and how creativity works, and I definitely identify with what he says.

I have seen the home as an extension of the body. It is our safe place; each home a respite to the souls who abide within.

What fascinates me most is that these explosions of creativity have arrived to these women after periods of tragedy. It is as if the soul had finally awaken from the slumber and decided to colour the world with its hues.

Wonderful work❤️

I am looking forward to the next letter❤️

a very wonderful and inspiring read! i have something to share that goes into a similar topic, or a “different room” in this case 🏠. the first story about polina raïko, adorning her home with religious symbols to compensate for her losses that left her empty, reminds me about how i had a “house” dream with my synagogue and i believe it was a calling to rejoin it since i left due to covid and i realized that it was the reason why there was something missing in my life. i essentially grew up there so i consider it a second home. its a large synagogue. in the dream i was exploring the familiar hallways, the familiar preschool section, but then i went towards the sanctuary and onto the bima, towards a door that is a backstage area irl, but this one led downstairs into a lot of secret rooms, classrooms, and a huge auditorium. i was in awe. the walls and floors were dark yet it was all well-lit. i walked in one of the classrooms and met the other people i grew up with, and it was a hostile interaction (some of them used to bully me). but otherwise it was a positive dream.

my own dream and what you’ve shared about dream homes reinforces the idea that there’s a “spiritual calling” that’s involved in many people’s dream homes (or anything parallel to homes, like my synagogue), and this calling reveals the “depths of our own psyche and the spiritual aspects of human existence,” as you write. and there’s that idea of the creation of dream houses: whether ur painting ur home physically or constructing one in your dreams, you are essentially filling in gaps with symbols that matter to your heart, adoring your home with whatever you may be missing in life. dream homes are constructed in alignment with the bigger picture of your psyche. and in the case of my dream and polina raïko, we entered spaces affiliated with our respective religions in a time where we needed it the most. because as soon as i had this dream, i rejoined immediately and was granted a lot of opportunities. hopefully this opens a new topic of exploration for you, to anyone who reads this :)
